Did you know that you are valuable in God’s sight? Are you aware that you are created in God’s image with intellectual abilities, infinite, skills and wisdom? Did you know that you are a world-class masterpiece, that there is no duplicate or replica of you across the face of this earth? You are unique — or should say uniquely you.

Since we are created in God’s image, we have great value, worth and significance, not because of what we think about ourselves or what we have made of ourselves, but because of how we were made by God. You are so precious to God that He has sent His own son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins, and to make possible, our redemption and renewed communion with the Father.

God provides you with 24 hour round the clock protection. He has sent His angels to guard us, the Holy Spirit to guide us, and the scriptures to teach us.

Do you genuinely love you — uniquely you? In Mark 12:33, we are taught in the bible to love one’s neighbor as oneself. By reference to neighbor, I believe this passage refers to our acquaintances, friends, people in our inner and outer circle, What I have found generally, is that people are gracious, kind, patient, understanding compassionate and merciful towards others and the list goes on. Can we extend the same compassion, unconditional positive regard, patience, and understanding towards ourselves? if we struggle with being kind to ourselves and are harsh and critical towards ourselves, then we need to clarify to ourselves the meaning and our own belief around the concept of self-love. If we find it difficult to love ourselves, could it be down to the fact that we equate self-love, with arrogance, self-centredness and pride? The definition of self-love in my opinion, is a person who is created, valued and loved by God. Did you know that you are an individual who is gifted and a bearer of God’s divine image? We can love ourselves because God loves us, His spirit lives within us, and we can gratefully, accept the abilities and opportunities that God has given. You are loved by the Almighty.
