Have you ever been a situation where you lost everything due to bad business investments? Have you ever teetered on the brink of life fighting a major illness? Have you ever made some regrettable decisions which jeopardized your marriage or relationship? If you answered yes to any of these questions, now is your time to “comeback”, to comeback to your former glory and to re-emerge from hiding in the shadows. The Collins Dictionary describes “comeback” as a return to a previous state or position of success. Comeback has also been described as a return to a former higher rank, popularity, position or prosperity. It is possible to comeback from life’s setback.

The Apostle Peter is an example of the comeback King. You are probably wondering why I have used the term “comeback king” instead of “comeback kid”. Did you not know that you are a King in the eyes of God? 1 Peter 2:9 describes men who follow God as a “Royal Priesthood”, “a chosen generation”, “ a consecrated nation”, “a special people for God’s own possession”. 1 Peter 2:9 describes the “Comeback King”as one whom “God called out of darkness into his marvelous light”. The darkness, could have been substance abuse, self-harm, anxiety, despair and hopelessness. You are called to live a life of hope and purpose. You have the strength to conquer all that is holding you back. You are more than a conqueror and have the potential to take authority over your setbacks. You are not going to allow dark period, despair, loneliness, lack and hopelessness to rule over you. As a King, you have the innate authority given to you by God to overcome your negative circumstances. Tomorrow, we will study the Apostle Peter, who is the ultimate “comeback king” who emerged from regret and shame to becoming a “history maker”, changing the world for good one step at a time. Friend, we are looking forward to your comeback and return.
